Eligibility/Enrollment
Family income at or below poverty level; 10% of families above poverty level; Age 3 before September 30th

Documentation Needed
Birth Certificate or Hospital Certificate; Updated Universal Shot Record; Proof of Income (W-2, 1040, award letter, etc.); Medical Card (if applicable)

Services for Children with Special Needs
Services provided as prescribed on an IFSP or an IEP.

Staff Credentials
Early Childhood Development Teachers - Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Early Childhood or related degree, Staff participates yearly in various professional development trainings to further their education.

Curriculum
The curriculum is based on the Louisiana Department of Education's Birth to Five Learning and Development Standards; Creative Curriculum

Lafayette Parish Early Childhood Community Network

In order to improve Early Childhood care and education throughout the parish, the school system, NSECD, Type III Early Learning Centers (Childcare), Head Start and Early Head Start have joined together to raise the level of expectations and birth-to-five standards to promote kindergarten readiness.
